Armani Privé

Scarlett Johansson at the Iron Man 2 Premiere in Hollywood

It does look quite familiar, maybe from the Valentino 2010 FW collection, anyone? :-/

Stillllll it is sooo perfect! It looks even better on her than on the model, it's just absolutely gorgeous. She totally stole Gwen's spotlight! Ouch! The structure, the ruffles, the color, the length, the hemline of the dress looks incredible. Perfect choice, definitely her best look ever, very red carpet appropriate. The up-do, the make up is great. But there are2 things that I'm not quite sure about, it's the shoes and the fabric of the dress, I'm not really feeling the whole pointy-glittery-heels vibe, thumbs down for that, peep-toe platforms would be way better on her small frame. And when you look at the fabric upclose in pictures, it's too shimmery or glossy and it also looks a bit thin, it would be more interesting if they used some "matte" looking fabric, maybe the type that Miu Miu used in their F/W 2010 collection :) well of course i haven't seen the exact real drress but by looking at it from the pictures, it's just perfect!!! Just my opinion though...

OWL CITY

Owl City has been me and my MrJ's favourite these days :)))
Strawberry Avalanche

it's just soooo joyful
Lyrics here:
This is a world of dreams and reverie
Where I felt the stars explode around me.
A grass blade flashed with a gleam as it slashed open a moon beam
And I stared back breathlessly as mountains of fruit tumbled out;
I barely had the chance to shout.
A strawberry avalanche crash over me.
Staying awake that night was rather hard
Deep in a sleeping bag in your backyard.
When we woke up buried alive beneath the fruity landslide we both laughed hysterically.
It could've been just another dream, but I swear I heard you scream.
A strawberry avalanche crash over me.
Always a citrus constellation in the galaxy, scratched on the back
Of both my eye lids that I've been dying to see.
If you were a beautiful sound and the echo's all around,
Then I'd be your harmony and we'd sing along with the crowds
Beneath the candy coated clouds of strawberry avalanche, please crash over me.

See the world of dreams and reverie where I felt the stars explode around me.

ENJOY

ps. Good Luck to the both of us tomorrow =)

Loafers and moccasins are my love ;]

Whitney Port in her brown and tan moccasins (reality star)

PAIN FREE-STRESS FREE-LAID BACK-LOAFERS! I can talk about this foreverrrr! Was just reading the papers, and my dad was talking about this article that featured loafers, mainly penny loafers, but it just struck me that I had to blog about it. Since when people only love to wear 5-inches, platforms, wedges and stuff, I see them everyday everywhere! they are just so un-inspirational, okay I have to admit that the so look sexy on SOME people, but it doesn't mean that everyone can carry a 4.5-inch platform to school! That is just insane! Regardless of the whole sex appeal of heels and it makes you taller, and have longer looking legs, I don't see a thing that attracts me to them, they not comfortable at all! So my choice will be something stylish, comfy and classic! LOAFERS PEOPLE! okay, for those who are not familiar with loafers (i.e my Mr.J) here's a little "Loafers for dummies" for you guys.
Loafers are basically referring to slip-on, typically low, lace-less shoes, but not as simple. Loafers have an opening with a patch of fabric that slightly "tilts" upward to let your foot to slide right in, and they are usually made of leather, suede or patent leather. There are different types of loafers. My dad, for example wears his Penny Loafers to work and literally you insert a penny in your shoe (well in HK we don't have pennies so we use a cent) Penny loafers are usually made with very hard leather and they are very structured. As in for me, I choose the Moccasin style of loafers, which are usually suede type like material, and they are colourful ;) okay enough of me talking.

So, the next pair of loarfers that I wanna get is an oxford style patent leather penny loafers in red probably, smiliesss =)

Hey Alexa, it's you again!

Fashion Talk!

I've been currently busy with my school work, since my exams are in few weeks,i kinda left my passion for fashion out for a while, but they are coming back indeed, was just watching a couple of inspired YouTube videos talking about handbagssss MY WEAKNESSS:))))) sure I had to tune in!!!! geees, I have been searching for a nice bag for school and for daytime casual wear, but I just couldn't find one, no, maybe I should put it this way... The ones that I love are just totally off my budget! :((( so i was clicking through web sites, searching for this bag--The Mulberry Alexa Bag, the bag inspired my Alexa Chung (yes, she's half chinese). I know i know, im a bit late to talk about this bag, it has been out there for quite a while, but still i had to do this, it's my loooovee! At first I was just drawn to it by it's looks, but when i went to check it out with Mr. J the other day, and felt it for the first time, i completely fell in love with it, the smell of the leather is just AMAZing. It's simple, yet casual and structured the best bag you can ever have!!! REAL CLASSIC. If i were to only have one bag in my entire life, it would probably be her! heeeee =), so here are some pictures of this goregous bag:

I think the first one is the oversized Alexa Bag, not so sure about the second one. Probablly i'll just get a knockoff of this bag, too bad.:(

Dreweatts & Bloomsbury

Hirst's sketch referenced his most famous works. Photo: Dreweatts and Bloomsbury

As I was looking for information for my genetics presentation this friday, I found a piece of interesting news:

A sketch drawn by Damien Hirst and given to a London cabbie for his keen-artist son could fetch £5,000 at auction.

The doodle was given to Jon Horsley as a tip after he dropped the celebrated artist off in Mayfair.

Experts have valued the pencil drawing, which features some of Hirst's most famous works, at £1,500 but have said a collector might pay more than three times that amount.

The 40-year-old taxi driver from Ilford, in Essex, said: "I'd picked Mr Hirst up before. My son said if I ever did again I should ask him to draw a picture.

"This is the largest tip I've ever had. Before this the most I'd received was £50."

Hirst, who got an E grade in his art A level, signed the doodle for the driver's 15-year-old son, writing: "For LJ. Don't give up on the art."

The drawing, which took the artist just a few minutes to complete in the back of Mr Horsley's cab, will be auctioned by Dreweatts & Bloomsbury on April 21.

Contemporary art director Mary McCarthy, who will auction the piece, said: "It's a charming little sketch, very childlike.

"It will appeal to a mass audience, not just the normal Damien Hirst collector. Considering one of his pieces sold for £10.34m this could be quite a snip for an original."

The artist is now best-known for pickling a shark in formaldehyde and arranging butterfly wings into patterns, as well as covering a skull in diamonds.
